Tap tempo delay done in Drambo

edited July 2024 in App Tips and Tricks

Hi,
reading a recent user request, I thought about a Drambo way of doing it and I must say it was an interesting excercise. Again, I've learned something here :)

Delay time is completely independent from project tempo and you can keep tapping to change it whenever you want.
I've found the measurement of two consecutive tap intervals (i.e. three taps) to be the best compromise between precision and time needed to enter a new delay time.

I've also included a timeout so after a good 2 seconds, measurement will start from the new first tap again.

Edit: Forgot to say, you can either use a CC value change or a MIDI note number to tap, so it should support 99% of the existing MIDI controllers and MIDI footswitches.

Enjoy, hope it's useful for someone else!
