Sending MIDI out of Logic Pro
I am able to send MIDI from my iPad Pro to my Windows PC wirelessly via an M-Vave dongle - if anyone is interested, the thread is linked below.
This is great for controlling VSTs from say the KB-1 keyboard suite.
Never satisfied, I now wonder if it is possible to send MIDI out of Logic Pro for iPad to Windows. LP has some amazing MIDI effects.
The MIDI dongle is showing in LP as MidiPort B, but doesn’t seem to send anything to Windows.

You’ll need to enable midiportb as an output device, then set up an external instrument to send midi to the device.
Ok, so in the screenshot the midiportb is enabled as an output device (?) Not sure what you mean by an external instrument. Sorry for my lack of understanding

External instrument is simply a plugin that handles external instruments, instead of software instruments.

Set the destination to midiportb, the channel number is dependent on the receiving device, so however they are set on your Windows machine in your case, audio depends on how you are routing your audio, if you aren’t sending audio back to logic, it won’t apply.
Got it working, thanks @knewspeak
The Arpeggiator MIDI effect in LP is insanely powerful
Glad you got it sorted, btw don’t forget about midi sync if delays and modulation needs the correct timing between the two systems, if possible Live sync is excellent over WiFi.
Also don’t forget the multitude of sequencers and arpeggiators available on iOS, lot’s of fun and experimenting to be had.
