Chitlins Con Carne - GigFast Lite (Marshall Amp Sim)

Jamming Kenny Burrell's 'Chitlins Con Carne' with the GigFast Lite B100 (Marshall amp sim).

Strat -> Gigfast Lite (B-100 CH.B with York Audio Marshall 4x12 V30 cab IR) -> Nembrini Delay3000 -> Audiothings Springs -> DDMF MagicVerb

Thanks @ArteraDSP - this sounds very good!

(@McD this one has the exact chord progression you mentioned before: C7#9 -> F13)

Cool! Look forward to trying them out!

  • Very cool. Nice crunchy sound. I would love to hear an acoustic bass and minimal drum kit behind this. @Mcd ?

That would be good, but I don't think my time-keeping is good enough to add a rhythm section. Thanks for listening/commenting, it is a very good crunchy sound - I've always found Marshall sims to be more 'miss' than 'hit'.

  • Your playing is as good as ever but I'm glad you pointed me to Kenny Burrell whose more 'clean' sounding guitar really appealed to me here. I had never really listened to him before.

Yes, Kenny Burrell is great. This track is from his classic Blue Note album, Midnight Blue. He's still with us I think. Thanks for listening.

  • Sounded darned good to me 🙏

  • Thanks @GeoTony! Gigfast does sound darned good dagnammit. However, I've switched back to Nembrini - they just feel/sound more like a real amp to me. (Really like the new Twin.)
