Serengeti / #83
I believe this to be my best jazz album to date. Hunkering down in Savannah as Debbie approaches. We shall see if it’s a real problem… or not.
Comments
I won’t argue with you about the quality 😊
FWIW You go to my head and Serengeti were my favourites 🙏
Roll on #84 !
Listened to the Bill Evans track. Really nice! Maybe he is still around. Are you familiar with the sax player? He was a local boy from my area, Clarendon Hills. Never knew him, though.
Good luck with Debbie. Never been in a hurricane, but experienced several tornadoes. I once saw one spinning over our house as a kid. Mom said… everybody get in the basement… Now! We hunkered down under the pool table. In hindsight, probably not a good idea.
My goodness, this is a dandy jazz album. If I had to pick a fav, I think I’d pick You go to my head, it gave me the most ear tickles so far. (Still listening…). What piano sound did you use for that one?
Hope Debby didn’t hit you too hard. We got it up here in NC. Our power & internet is out, trees down, some streets flooded. Found a coffee shop that never closes, so came here this morning for a bite to eat and use the internet.
Enjoying your music through the storm.
Thanks @GeoTony @Paulieworld
@Dav the rain here in Savannah was not as bad as expected, though there was a lot of flooding. I did slip in a puddle and fell flat on my back in a couple of inches of water. I guess I was a casualty. Added to that my fog slipped his collar as I fell and ran into oncoming traffic. Thank the Dog Star he survived. It was, indeed, Sirius.
