AudioBus showing wrong icons
I'm having a strange behavior in my iPad 6th gen and my older iPad Air (2013) where AudioBus is showing wrong icons in the instruments and FX list. iPad 6 is updated with the newest iOS version, the old one I think is iOS 10?
Also, I notice now that one of the iPads is showing Italizer, an FX that I don't own (at least to my knowledge!!)
Other than that it works like a charm. Trusty old app!
See attached screenshots:
In the first one, Blackhole (midi), Crushstation midi, DAW Cassette and Gauss have been taken by Moog Minimoog.
In the second you can also see and Italized PaulXStrethch
And no, I don't have Italizer 🤭
I've made a hard reset on both but I haven't tried deleting and installing.
@Michael ?

You might try an "offload" and "reload", which is lower impact than a reinstall. You can offload an app by going to your device settings > General > Storage. Swipe down to reveal the search box if it's not already displayed, and type Audiobus, then tap on the entry, then Offload App. Finally, tap Reinstall App. This will re-download the app. Your presets, etc, will not be lost.
[edit] This didn't fix the issue on my iPad.
Warning: Don't accidentally enable the Offload Unused Apps setting. You won't like the results. Manually offloading individual apps when needed is fine, but letting Apple manage that isn't a good idea.
Hey @Michael - there's definitely something up here. I'm seeing the same thing on my iPad.
Fortunately, offload and reinstall, as described above does fix the issue.
Hi. I see this too. Minimoog icon for a few apps, and the random Italizer. Reported this to Michael a long time ago. I believe these icon assignments (strangely) come from an on-line database that Audiobus accesses, not directly from the installed apps. The errors we see result from errors in that database.
How mysterious! Am I right in thinking this happened recently?
Good question. I don't know. Who knows how long it could have gone unnoticed?
Update: Offload and Reinstall didn't fix it on my iPad. I had tried this on my iPhone, but didn't check first if the problem existed there before then. I assume now that it didn't.
Okay. I’m busting my chops trying to get Loopy Pro 2.0 released so I won’t have the time to look into something else unless it’s urgent for awhile, but I’ll leave this in my inbox for when I have a moment.
Thanks for looking into this.
It’s not urgent at all @michael so bust your chops at ease 🥢
Here's the text of the email I sent you on Dec.24 2021:
These still persist, and NA Clon Minotaur has been added to the AU effects.
Edit: Clon Minotaur was OK in this old snap, but now uses the Model D icon. Note, this is on iPad 6 with the classic Retina screen, 1536x2048 pixels.
Here's one of the screenshots from that time. It shows Multiband and NA Black using the Minimoog icon.
