Samplr, oh Samplr...
Where for art thou?
Comments
any specific things about its whereabouts? i re-downloaded it last night and was having some fun with it...
If/when samplr, loopy, turnado and sunrizer work happily together in audiobus on ios8 I'm ready.
Soopnadorizer!!!

The rap version is called Snoopnadorizer.
At least it still works stand-alone. But I do miss AB input capability. IAA would be great since I seem to be having more luck with that lately. It exports to Audioshare like a champ but "open in" would be appreciated. For a while the app was getting some great attention from the developer, I just hope that's still the case. I am going to remain optimistic about this one.
The developer recently posted on his Twitter that he's working on an update.
Wherefore art thou samplr. Because it's a sampler at heart. Clues in the name. Pedantic literature moment over.......
I can say that the reason I bought an ipad was due to this app! Samplr is the sole reason I will not upgrade my OS as well. Very pleased indeed to hear that the dev is working on an update.

same here, i really hope iaa is in the update i would love to use sampler with cs spectral in as easy a way as i do with the impc pro
One of the best, still on my most used list especially for gigs. Massive scope for sonic variety with just six samples.

Yep just 6 samples but several modes you can use them. I'm really hoping triplets will be added soon so the arp gets even more lively. Would also be good to have a phaser and decimator in the effect section. I don't use the ring mod much.
yes, for me too,
if you use SAMPLR standalone it rocks, but SYNC & on the fly life recording isnt real fun....
hope over a year that a update will come!
I'm using samplr live slaved to Loopy and it works ok. Just before I deploy arpeggiator of something that is rhythm based I always stop and restart the session in time with the drummer which resets the tempo. There is a bit of a drift but mostly not noticeable. I think it could also be affected by low ram situation because some slight tempo variations happen when I sweep between apps. For most part I try to keep it on the samplr page for most part, everything else is assigned to midi controllers. I find it rewarding to go blind with other apps. It almost feels like working with hardware. I have a practice tonight using Samplr etc. with a drummer I'll try to make another video to post on here.
love to see that vid
me too!,
if i use DrumJAm or another Drummi for Master and wanna record quantized into samplr there is a delay of the "quantized" hits....
like you take a 2Bars standard 4-4 with offbeat, all 8 hits have a little delay & you have to set the trigger points manueally, if i use c&p its okay exact triggerpoints...
and sync...whats should i say....THE Construction site ahead in iOS!
@supadom MUST HAVE MORE OVERHEAD DOMCAM!
As promised!
Do not adjust your devices, the blur is in your head...
unedited practice footage warts and all as usual
Great. Fonkey and a bit psychadelic. Yay
Here's another one, bit more poppy. I do some session restarts to bring samplr back in sync with loopy. I hope this thread won't start crashing with all the video links. I'm not sure how to make them appear as links only though.
Here something a bit jazzy done with Samplr and some sequences from SessionBand Jazz
@supadom 1st one, really like the snakey guitar, sound and line. Not sold on the vocal sample, but so what. And missed the kids megaphone Seriously though, nice bits of groove and essential -universal- denominator of that is the sound at the end of the take where the participants are heard giggling a little bit....I miss that when working alone more than almost anything else...really wanted a second Holo-Dom standing in the middle with a mikestand and a louche rant...
@RedSkyLullaby nice mixture and nice mixing, very smooth....
I know @JohnnyGoodyear my vocals only get so far. I'd be more than happy to recruit some young and funky soul to take on the mic maybe play a trumpet or something cool like that. My vocals can be good but my cool punchy range is quite narrow. Would love to put some unusual effects on vocals. Ram is a barrier to that at the mo tho.
And yes, I know exactly what you're talking about the band situation. My last band was an ace example do that. It was truly collaborative which also meant that when the drummer departed for Sydney we never even thought of finding a replacement. Part of the spirit of the band was irretrievably gone.
What sample do you mean? 'Forward back'?
@supadom Yeah, the woman's voice? Repeating. Actually it worked for me more after awhile when it became a bit mantra-like, but if it's going to be there, kind of front and center (but not , it could be better. Maybe just an adjustment in effect/tone. Mostly though I'm just a hound for some vocals on this kind of groove. Something from Mister Byrne to Mister Strummer to Mister Heron. Might as well dream/aim high, right? Ever since Sandinista! (the album , a certain kind of rhythm makes me expect politics and pineapples...
