Garageband Track Icons

I'm trying to figure out why when recording Garageband with WaveMapper, Guitarism, and Ifretless Bass, only Guitarism's icon displays. WaveMapper and Ifretless show the AB icon.

  • Maybe they have a 'list' of compatible apps and those two aren't on it yet? No clue man. Haven't tried with anything but guitarism so far. :-)

Are you doing all together? Because the microphone icon shows on GB until I start recording and then after the appropriate app. Tried cubasis, ifretlesss and both PPG apps, all show. In fact I've not come across the Audiobus icon at all!
EDIT: just added an effect. The WG icon still showed, not the effect

  • Depends on how the session gets started. If it's just one input app, GarageBand will show that.

If at the beginning of the session (when GarageBand is added to the output slot) there are multiple input apps, then GarageBand displays the Audiobus icon.

  • Ok, got it. And all the sounds are together too, so that's understandable

  • Very welcome!

  • When using Audiobus to record Sonoma Guitartone as the input and Garageband as the output, only the AB icon will show in the GB track. I opened both apps from within AB and am only using the one input. I've also tried waking input or output first, but this doesn't make a difference. Could this be due to running IOS 7.1.2 when most apps have been updated for IOS 8.1?
