My new looper/drum/synth/fx thing
Hey dudes, wanted to share this new patch I created for MobMuPlat. I made this to replace my current live audiobus chain of beatmaker->turnado->loopy->effectrix. I now have all that in one app (sort of)! It took me over a month to create and was a really fun/frustrating/fun again process. Everything is controllable with midi stuff and it syncs over wifi (and pretty damn well too)! Thought I'd start a new post as the old mobmuplat thread was getting pretty long. There are a lot of great patches on there though: Other MobMuPlat Thread

Wow. That's amazing. Congrats on the work!
Thanks! Not sure why the video won't embed.
Wow! that's awesome!

Try the actual (unshortened) url?
Can I ask how long this took to put together?
Reading the OP... I'm guessing it took over a month to create... :-)
and it looks amazing. I can't wait to try it out.
Nice work. I've never used MobMuPlat, but that seems worth the effort.

Haha. Thanks!
Seems that if I post the same link down here it embeds. Weird. Anywho, thanks dudes, hope some folks enjoy it. Feel free to get in there and change stuff if you feel inclined. It's a pretty complex patch, but I tried to make it as simple as possible.
Looks excellent! Have you ever tried re-porting some of the patches available at forum.pdpatchrepo.info onto MobMuPlat? I'm guessing most wouldn't work because they use the Pd-extended version, but there's tons of cool stuff there that would be awesome to port over.
Amazing! Man you're getting really good at making those
so cool, I'm never going to have the time to make these, but will definitely have fun using it.
Wow
You're a scary dude. In a good way.

I've definitely been lurking around there for a while. I've never tried to re-port a full patch though, mostly just finding out how things were done and for inspiration. Yeah, most folks posting patches aren't using strict vanilla, so it's sometimes hard to figure out how to do something that was done in extended.
Great patch!
I'm not sure why this hasn't been asked yet, but what is that box thing above the drum pad? Is that a homemade controller?
Indeed. I originally built it for loopy & effectrix but then recoded it for this superlooper patch. Of all the midi controllers I've built, I'm most proud of this one. It has multiple colors for the pads indicating what is going on (red for record/green for active loop/unlit for mute) and also has a short hold to clear that loop or a long hold to clear the session. It's quite nice.

So... How does this work with lights?? Does Loopy send data to the MIDI box depending on what each loop is doing? Intriguing...
No, as far as I know loopy doesn't send any midi data which was a bummer for me building these controllers. Basically it was coded with a button press counter. So, first button press was red, second would swap it to green and then a flag was set saying only toggle between green and off (mutes) for all following button presses until session is reset. That's basically how I still have it coded but with different midi info for this patch.
