You could teach a class on how to seamlessly blend different things together into an amazing cohesive whole. I had to listen twice just to capture all the little details and I think I may have to go back a few more times just to enjoy it again.
Hope you have a great weekend. Got a break from the heat today here in Denton and a little sprinkle of rain here and there. Back to the dreaded blast furnace tomorrow, I’m afraid.
It's Ambient, but excellent Ambient that holds my attention. I love the guitar riffs.
Thanks, Jim. I have been trying my hand at ambient music lately. I think I have a relatively short attention span, so I try to mix it up a bit. I’m glad it held your attention. That’s the highest compliment. Have a good one, amigo!
Hi Mac. As I was telling @jwmmakerofmusic, I’ve been trying a bit of the ambient lately. I found a couple little clips in the audio folder and just thought… what the hell, why not? My younger sisters used to watch Mister Roger’s Neighborhood and that little melody is forever burned into my head! I used to race home after school to watch Dark Shadows. It seemed like an amusing contradiction to put them together.
Yesterday was a perfect day. I’m not surprised that most of the others in the office took the day off. Oh well, it made for a nice quiet day. Today is supposed to be great. I’m sitting on my patio right now with some nice strong dark roast coffee. It’s about 70 degrees and nobody is awake yet. I’m digging it!
👍
Your ambient collage makes may analytical brain fire off ‘tilt’
Alarms every now and then. The guitar part works deliciously against my sense of key… I love soloists that can work on those edges and make new colors like you do by combining performance materials.
Shouldn't it be, "If I knew then what I know now"? That's generally my problem. I was much stupid when I was younger.
Anyway.. Titles for instrumental tunes are always tough. Nice montage of sounds.. The Mr. Rogers clip makes it feel kind of psycho.. Didn't notice any Barnabas, but I used to love that show when I was a kid. Never watched Mr. Rogers.
Thanks, Tony!
Tilt!!! That reminds me of a neighbor from many, many years ago. His dad was an atomic scientist at Argonne Labs, and in his spare time he built and repaired TVs. He bought an old pinball machine and restored it. One of his "improvements" was to disable the coin slot and the Tilt. We used to beat the hell out of that machine! When I started going to the bowling alley and playing the real thing, it was quite a surprise. This was a fun little track. Thanks for listening.
I find the titles are easy. It's the music that's difficult, but fun. Regarding this title, there is actually a subtle meaning to it, but discussing it would probably get political, so I'll just say I thought it was amusing. I'm glad you felt the psycho! That was absolutely intentional. I didn't have any Jonathon Frid samples, but I had the TV theme song in my audio folder daring me to include it. If you are ever interested, Tom Hanks did a great take on Mister Rogers in 'A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood'. Good flick if you ever have a few hours to waste. Have a great day!
Good stuff, bro. That strong coffee seems to be a magic elixir for you.
And it’s completely legal.
