Animoog iOS8, what gives?!

Firstly, I love the Animoog. My fave synth, app or hardware, ever. But what's happened with Animoog iOS8?!
No longer works with Audiobus, refuses to recognise my MIDI expansion pack upgrade, I can no longer swap out timbres in presets!!!
I've read a couple of posts on this forum suggesting Moog are no longer supporting their Apps and concentrating on hardware. Does anyone know if this is true? I'd be gutted to say goodbye to Animoog.
Any help appreciated...
P.S DM1 is also broken on iOS8 :(((

Comments

  • DM1 is being worked on, they were hoping for a mid Okt update, so shouldn't be that far away. Dunno anything about Animoog.

  • Animoog has been updated twice in the last month for iOS8 and AB2 - you can see in the app version details in the app store. A nice hearty reboot and starting animoog first should see it working (does for me). Not sure about IAPs thought.

DM1 has been updated for iOS8 and AB2 - works here, you might need to elaborate on what is broken. The reboot might fix it though :)

  • I have the same DM1 problem everyone else on the forum is having; faulty stereo output. It hasn't been fixed yet.
As for Animoog (I am running the latest version 2.2.2), even after a reboot, and booting it up first, the problems persist; Will not recognise my upgrade to the MIDI expansion pack and won't work with audiobus. Others are having the same problems....

  • I must be the lucky one with animoog :)

  • Still missing MIDI out working after purchase / restore. Also - there is an issue with timing (last couple of revs - only just discovered). LFO and note travel across the screen seem to run at 1/2 rate in Audiobus when used with 512 buffers with add-on patches from the packs. Someone else discovered that it seems to work properly at 256 buffers (go figure why that would be :-) ).

It also works OK outside Audiobus. I tested on 7.1.2 but others have on 8. Has been notified to Moog.

( If you're not sure what I'm talking about here, try DN's Carbonated Bass patch for example at the max keyboard position. Watch the X/Y pad screen too. Compare inside and outside of AB at 512 buffer size. )

Anyhow. They have another beta being tested probably...

Oh - also - if you use 1024 it runs at 1/4 speed and 128 runs at double speed. Methinks that the variable "size" or "rate" or something was used twice - connecting buffer size to LFO speed. Huh? O.o
