Digistix 2 change song from Loopy Pro
Am I missing something or is there no way to change the song in Digistix 2 via midi or host app?
If there isn't, any idea why?
It seems like there's heaps of options for changing other settings but not loading a new song which seems like it would be a no brainer to add.
I've justed started using Digistix 2 again in Loopy Pro after binning it because I didn't think it did what I needed.
Turns out it does everything I need except being able to change the song without opening the app and clicking that tiny little hamburger menu.
If this isn't possible is there another app that would allow me to?
Basically I've set up one song with a bunch of standard beats as patterns for jamming and improvising (guitarist/singer) and that can be changed via midi which works great.
Then I wanted to set up other specific numbers as sequenced songs so I can add dynamics for different sections.
I also sometimes just live loop improvised drums via a midi controller which Digistix allows as well.
I'd be grateful for any advice as I finally feel like I'm so close to my ideal setup.

Hummm .... I think you're right.
I only have the original digistix, but I don't think that has changed. IMO presets should store the loaded song as well, but they don't. 😐
OK, I did find that if you save a Loopy Pro project, the song that's loaded in the sequencer is saved with it. So, what you'd have to do is save a project for each song. Then you would use Loopy's project load action to change songs. At least that appeared to work in my brief test.
Not ideal.
Thanks wim, that's definitely a good idea. I was hoping to avoid that though as I tried separate projects early on using Loopy Pro and it just felt like an awkward way to do it.
Like if I then want to change a midi map, button, setting etc., I've got to go through and change it on every song.
Might have to revisit it now that I have a bit more experience though.
Thanks again.
