Donner D1 - Programmable Performance Beat Machine - Everything You Need To Know
One of the most interesting features of the Donner D1 Drum Machine is the fact that it has 4GB of internal storage for user samples, my Model Samples only has 1GB.
I can’t think of any other hardware sampler that has that amount of storage.
It does have a bit of a learning curve, but once you grasp it you’re golden.
It does other cool stuff too, like, parameter locks, effects, etc.

SP-404MKII has 16GB internal storage and can play whatever your SD card holds up to 32GB (although you do need to transfer samples from the card to internal storage project by project)...
Synthstrom Deluge (hardware sampling is just one thing it does) streams samples from whatever size SD card you have.
M8 Tracker (again, hardware sampling is only one aspect of the machine) streams from whatever size SD card you have.
Kinda cheap as well.
You could get it for pitas.
@Michael_R_Grant Thanks Michael, now they are impressive stats for storage😊
SP-404mk2 can use a up to 512GB sd card now, although you still need to transfer to internal memory.
Oh that's cool, I must have been looking at outdated stats! A very fun machine that I need to do more with!
Does it have multi layer support?
It initially was 32GB I think it was around version 3.xx it was enabled, also a ‘beta’ ability to load and use projects directly from the SD Card, you may need a really speedy one because for me it was extremely buggy.
