Strymon Iridium + H9 vs Fractal FM3
Hey guitar folks,
The embers of GAS had died down on my guitar gear. The last purchase was a Strymon Iridium. I have some nice pedals to use with it, including AnalogMan KOT, some Keeley Boss pedals, and the Eventide H9. All going into some JBL PAs.
Anyway, I have never heard a Fractal in real life. Of course, Fractal and the AxeFX have long been spoken of in reverence.
Has anyone had both an Iridium and an FM3 or FM9? Thoughts on how the tones compare?

One of my close friends is a pro guitarist. He is regularly buying/selling gear and has owned, gigged and recorded with pretty much everything fancy bit of gear that has come out in the last 10 yrs (including the Iridium).
His FM9 is the piece of gear he’s owned the longest (apart from his guitars, tube amps and some boutique pedals). He uses the FM9 for larger gigs and when touring but for smaller gigs/playing at home he prefers his amp & pedals. Having said that he did also recently by a HX Stomp for the 3rd time…
Thanks
