If you arm a loopy pro loop while playback is stopped in the host, it should start recording when the host starts. You may need to turn in Wait for Playback in the global clip settings.
If that isn’t working , can you describe what happens or post a screen recording?
I'm not quite sure what you're trying to do, but maybe you need to turn off Host Sync in Loopy Pro.
This worked.
What I’m trying to do, @Wim, is move a small project from Logic to Loopy.
I had the same issue when I tried to record from Logic into Loopy. What worked for me was setting up a virtual audio cable to route Logic’s output directly into Loopy. This way, Loopy can start recording without waiting for Logic’s transport to run. It took a bit of fiddling with the settings to get everything synced up, but it solved the problem of missing the beginning of the loop.
Turning on wait for playback and arming the loop for record solves the problem also. Recording will start when Logic’s transport does.
