Is Flux better AI?

Comments

  • Flux is the new hotness in image generation. Flux does much better with text than Stable Diffusion. It does a much better job with prompt comprehension. It does a much better job with things that AI struggles with like hands.

I know the video says it doesn't require a super powerful computer but I haven't tried it yet because my PC is an 8 year old budget gaming PC that struggles with all the latest AI offerings. A local installation of their smallest model would be pushing it to its limits. All that being said, I'm tempted.

  • And now Kling from China…

  • Flux is great for impressive fidelity (detail, lighting, perspective, prompt following) but SDXL is still my model of choice for creative design. It just combines concepts and ideas in a mushy way that is very steerable for me. With SDXL you can give it contradictory direction and it blends together in novel ways that you can then lean into different directions, where as Flux is more likely to lock in hard on a concept and not be as pliable, if that makes sense.

  • If you're into cutting-edge features and seamless integration than yeah.
