korg gadgets auv3 ~> MIDI OUT?

haven’t tried this in a while, has Korg enabled gadget AUV3s to send MIDI out when using their play surface? would be ideal for the drum ones… but so far not working for me

The Korg AUv3's are a bit 'buggy' and have a pretty badly broken automation implementation.

Thankfully the drums are mapped to the keyboard so I'd suggest using the Logics built-in keyboard to trigger the sounds, you'll get velocity sensitivity to boot which the Plug-Ins UI pads lack.

I've sent feedback to Korg on this a few months ago but so far we've not seen an update where this is 'fixed'.
When I remind them of the issue (I have an open case number) the only reply I get is that they are working on it and to stay patient.

The Plug-Ins do not properly register a midi-output nor do they include release events for automation, so yeah, Korg has some 'homework' to do and this most likely postpones the release of the other apps as AUv3s as well...

    Thanks again @Samu and @realdawei

  • Ok thanks for the update @Samu

  • I discovered that limitation as well just recently. The only Gadget that has working MIDI output is Taipei, the MIDI-Out control module. I would encourage anyone who wants the feature/fix, to contact Korg and express your interest - I'm going to do so myself, now that I know it's already been raised in the system.
