iCM4+/Audiobus/48Hz/24bit
Maybe an old question, but couldn't find anything to this. Set my iConnectMidi 4+ to 48Hz/24bit. When I open AB2 frames are set to 235 instead of 256. All synths added than give an error message. Tried several starting scenarios, but always the same. 48Hz/16bit works.
When I play the synth with the settings 48hz/24bit it makes no problems routed to Cubase through the iCM4+. Same 44Hz/24bit. Any ideas how to fix, or just not possible?

Sorry, Audiobus is 44Khz, 16 bit only.
Hi Sebastian, thank you for your reply. So I missed that somewhere. But why please did 44Khz/24bit work?
I honestly do not know.
please please please update AB and Loopy to 24bit 44! :-)
Ok thank you.
Hey Sebastian, IAA is all 32bit float internally, so perhaps the 16bit limitation the old AB had is no more? Bring in Michael and get the final word on that, if you would.
A separate issue of course is how apps deal with read/write of audio files, and many are probably still 16bit only. Loopy may still be that way (as are ThumbJam and DrumJam).
So having ipad music in your gig you are always 'limited' to 16bit?
this would be very interesting to know....
@Michael if loopy (AB) is still 16Bit....please update to 24Bit.
I record my whole stuff in 24Bit, if you want to work with the recordings its essential (for me).
I think I've already talked this over with Mike but I'll have another go.

okay, this means?
why this limit? dont realize this....
then a new Hardware device like the Focusrite iTrack Dock 24-Bit/96 kHz make no sense???
@Sebastian good luck sir. It would be a great upgrade if AB could do 24 bit. (Spiritually at least, all discerning ears aside) Maybe now there's a way.

Some apps will work at higher sample rates, so you could record audio at a higher rate.
