This was inspired by the recent collaboration between @Svetlovska and @MadeofWax. I enjoyed it and thought I would try something in that genre. It’s nowhere near as good, but I hope to get better at it.

I wouldn’t say that! It’s pretty damn good man…
Can you tell us what you used!? I’m curious ….i like particularly your percussions
Hey @Paulieworld, I like the thumping bass and the creeping pads, then gentle guitar plucks just when I thought you were going to pick up the pace. Lots of interesting layers!
I used Fugue Machine and 9 layers of Mitosynth. Each layer overlapping the previous. I love Mitosynth and the @Spidericemidas presets. The percussion is DrumJam, but with a LOT of effects. I love Other Desert Cities. The other tracks are just assorted things with Nambu, iM1, Blocs Wave, and a few others. To be quite honest, I had a few cold pops when I was doing this, and forgot to leave notes in the Notepad. Hope you’re having a nice long weekend.
As I was saying to @yellow_eyez, I was just adding layers as I went along. I didn’t really know what I had until I did the final mix. At the end I found a little acoustic guitar sample in Blocs Wave that sounded like a nice way out. Thanks for listening. Be sure to check out Hekate Station by @madeofwax and @Svetlovska. It’s pretty scary!
Hey Paul,
Thanks for the recommendation.
I like the sounds and atmosphere of this. If I were to imagine a video concept I would go with an Egyptian/Middle Eastern type scene. Something spooky like mummies or cursed tombs.
I like it!
That would be cool. Feel free to use it anytime. I enabled downloads if you decide to go for it. You can change the title if you like. I just had that picture of the frozen guy and decided to use it. I like the idea of mummies. My mind is racing with the possibilities of what you might be able to create!
Hope you are all having a great long weekend.
Excellent work Paul. You really can turn your hand to any genre and make it your own !
I found the frozen man image strangely disturbing 🤔
Five ice crystals and a big COOL! for both music and title. ❄❄❄❄❄
That picture is pretty creepy. The music is pretty creepy, too. I didn’t have a title until I remembered that image. I listened for that dog barking. It wasn’t intentional, but entirely possible. I like to sit outside when I do this stuff. My neighbors walk by with their dogs all the time. Maybe I recorded something by mistake. Stranger things have happened.
I guess I was just chillin’ at the time. I have no idea what the genre is. Thanks for listening!
That’s good, Paul. I’ve been watching a Netflix series called Terror about the British expedition to find an Arctic passage to the Pacific. This would fit right in. Btw, I recommend the series if you have Netflix.
@LinearLineman Hmmm… interesting. They must have known that it’s pretty cold up in the Arctic. Water tends to freeze. Ships and ice don’t play nice together. Several years ago, we had all of that TV stuff. We just found that we weren’t watching that much and canceled it. Honey Bunny found God, and I found iPad music making (or something that resembles music). I just hope when the time comes, I can say… I’m with her. I’m a sinner, and pretty good at it.
