Arturia Etude #1
First experiment with the (discontinued) Arturia MK2. I only used the mod wheel and aftertouch, so there’s a lot more expressivity I can get to with a couple of pedals. This works a hell of a lot better for SWAMs than my ultra expensive Kawai Novus. In fairness, the Novus is a piano with no wheels or pedal plug ins. The piano action does not suit playing horns, strings or synths. The Arturia’s weighted synth keyboard works a lot better for the above uses.
SWAM Double Bass, Trumpet and Tenor sax plus JazzDrummer.

One of your best! The bass player reminds me of the great Charlie Haden. If you haven’t heard Lonely Woman, it’s worth a listen. The horn player and the rest of the ensemble are very good, but the bass player is the focal point of this. Really good stuff. You would have enjoyed Jazz Showcase. Joe was a dick, but he always had the best players. I haven’t been there since he passed.
Left this running on soundcloud while I was making tea (crispy orange tofu) and there are so many good songs (Rupert foss was good) then turned around when 'two minutes of your time' came on....that was perfection...
This is very cool. Glad the keyboard suits you!
Thank you @Paulieworld I’ve been stuck with a Lonely Woman ear worm since you mentioned it. MJQ is my favoriteversion.
@deadpoetlive not sure how you stumbled on 2 Minutes but glad you liked it.
@myapologies thx, the keyboard is great.
Once heard Henry Threadgill band in London, this reminds me of them. Great composition LL! frenq
Thanks @Frenq Hope everything is going well for you, my friend.
