Arturia Etude #2 / Yonac Taurus + SWAM

Now that @espiegel123 and @timforsyth have solved all my Arturia MK2 issues I can say, without reservation, that for my needs in controlling virtual instrument expression, it is ideal and has ended a years long search to find the right expressive fit for my requirements.

The first section of this track is SWAN Cello enhanced by Yonac’s super saturated Zodiac Taurus effects. Have a listen @Svetlovska, I think it sounds pretty Cthonic. I expect I’ll use it quite often.

The second section is SWAM Cello, the third SWAM Double Bass and JazzDrummer. The final section adds SWAM Tenor Sax.

These etudes lack piano, which is quite refreshing, and all accomplished on a 49 key controller.
Also, I’m always impressed with JazzDrummer and its, very expressive, xy pad. On the final bass section of this track I double the drum line and stagger the duplicate which creates a more complex drum part.

I hope you’ll enjoy it and comment. I don’t think I’ve ever used the SWAMs more effectively.

Wow. The first section sounds like a 1970s wig out guitar solo soundtracking a Giallo murder montage.
    Pretty wild stuff.

Then again. It’s only Rock n Roll, huh?:

The solo cello reminds me of the funked up Paganini ‘Variations’ album Julian Lloyd Weber put early in his career off the back of his theme for a tv arts show:

Pretty epic noises all told. The new keyboard is clearly agreeing with you! :)

  • Sitting here in a smokey black and white club noir. It's going all hazy, I've had one too many whisky's, am I working the case or is the case working me, what am I missing.....

...the answer sobers me like a bolt of lightning straight to the brain.......jazz drummer!

  • This is wild. I like that distorted cello and complex (understatement) rhythm section. Glad you found the right hardware

  • Thx for listening @Svetlovska @deadpoetlive and @myapologies. Yeah, JazzDrummer is very useful. We only had SoftDrummer before that for jazz. I do like the new hardware a lot. It comes with a ton of software, but, alas, that’s for the computer crowd.
