Multitrack/DAW app for live performances
I'm looking for app that would allow me to play multitracks but with smooth transitions between songs/projects. Unfortunately most of DAWs works per project and loading next song requires lots of clicks and I can't automate it. Do You know any of this kind of app?

Maybe Camelot Pro? I see this in the description for "Smart Scene Transition":
"The Smart Scene Transition in Camelot is unique because it not only allows you to switch scenes without sound interruptions from audio plugin instruments, it also takes care of smooth MIDI transitions between different routings and configurations. For example, if a MIDI device is not in use in the scene you are transitioning to, you will not get stuck notes because the MIDI instances from the previous scene will stay alive until you release your finger or the sustain pedal."

Loopy Pro aims to have smooth song transitions, and they can definitely be automated. I can’t vouch for that, not having tried it, but it’s there.
Camelot Pro is totally made for that kind of stuff. I’ve never tried it myself either though.
Hi,
What about KeyStage?
What about loading everything into one big project and working with song markers and tempo changes?
AUM and Loopy Pro are the only apps that come close to being a DAW and can perform song chaining. Other solutions, such as Camelot and Key Stage, are not really DAWs but perform well for live performances.
AUM is more powerful for mixing (multi-out AUv3, routing any audio signal anywhere, sidechaining, etc.), while Loopy Pro has incredible follow actions to perform any changes based on received MIDI commands e even move the playhead anywhere on a midi event! . Since Loopy Pro is AUv3 compatible, you can use it within AUM and benefit best of both worlds.
Thanks, I think I will try with Loopy pro because I have this app but I was hoping that You will recommend me any DAW because it could be easier with producing music and playing it in one tool
It's not a DAW, rather a groovebox, GR-16 is perfect at doing this. I've used it on stage multiple times. And making music on it can be fun as well, but that is a personal thing so it might not be for you.
Another possible approach is to use Ampify's Blocswave and Launchpad app but it's more of a sample-based approach. Blocswave exports to Launchpad seamlessy and Launchpad is specifically made for live performance and is rock solid on stage. Especially it does both scale and time quantization on the fly so you can change scenes seamlessly between different songs, in key.
It might be feasible to code a simple app that listens for MIDI events and opens any file. I’ve done some initial testing, and so far, it only works with Logic Pro. Other sequencers don’t seem to be triggered when their files are opened.
I’ve reached out to Mathew from Zenbeats to see if he could add this functionality. However, I’m not entirely sure if it will be implemented. At best, it might result in a copy of the track being bounced, which isn’t ideal.
yeah, thanks
I'm starting work on this app today. I hope it won't be too difficult or time-consuming. I'll also get in touch with Matthew again to ask if he could slightly modify Zenbeats to make it compatible. Zenbeats is better suited for live situations than Logic, and the more sequencers that allow loading files via MIDI messages, the better it will be.
Hi.
Take a look to Live Multitrack 2.
If your need is to use audio tracks (without midi or plugins) it is a great tool.
It allows you to create your own setlists. In each setlist you can add infinite songs. For each song you can add infinite audio tracks.
Changing between songs takes an instant.
Through the markers you can also jump from one song to another.
It has internal equalizer, compressor, delay and reverb.
From 8 buses you can route audio outputs to any output on your sound card and much more.
Soon to be added is the ability to associate a video that you can project on external screens, all synchronized to the audio.
