I Want to Hold Your Hand - Nembrini Double Reverb

Checking out the Nembrini Double Reverb again with this jam of The Beatles classic, 'I Want to Hold Your Hand'. Was going to play it clean but ended up cranking the amp just a tad - has this lovely growl when you dig in a bit. Makes me want to get a real Fender Twin, but they're just too heavy!

Strat -> Nembrini Double Reverb (York Audio 2x12 Fender Twin cab IR) -> Nembrini Delay3000 -> DDMF MagicVerb

+1 absolutely beautiful, virtuosic while still retaining so much soul, lovely fusion of jazz, blues and rock vibes

  • Keep it up, bro. Liked the touch of Hendrix in there.

  • Definitely worth an immediate 2nd listen.

You beat me to it. It's like the lost album "Jimi Plays the Beatles"

  • @pbelgium your playing and the “amp” both sound wonderful.

    Sounds good. Really nice playing.

Twins aren’t just heavy but really really loud if going for breakup. My neighbor has a professional studio and the twin lives in a sound isolation box so that it can get turned up to optimal edge of breakup without blowing everyone's ears out.

  • I really enjoyed this one. Sounds great as usual!

  • Great take on the first Beatles song I ever heard. Very unique and original idea! Well played.

  • Thanks for listening and kind words @dubbub @Gavinski @Schmotown @myapologies @Paulieworld.

Thanks for the ultimate compliment @LinearLineman @MrStochastic. (I've been trying to play like JH since age 11 - I'll get there one day.)

Lol. We are so lucky to have access to attenuators, amp pedals, amp sims, IR's, etc. I know it's not really the same as turning up an amp real loud, but the sounds are good. This Twin is very impressive and won't break your back or eardrums. Thanks for listening.

  • Really nice rendition of this timeless classic. Beautifully played as usual!

  • Thanks for the listen @Edward_Alexander, much appreciated.
(You haven't posted anything in a while - look forward to hearing something from you.)

  • Great playing and the tone is absolutely wonderful.

Thanks for commenting @richardyot. Double Reverb is my new go to - highly recommend it if you haven’t already got it.

  • A class act 🙏

  • Thanks for listening (commenting & liking on soundcloud) @GeoTony.
The Beatles re-interpretation album is a good idea. Not sure I could do it by myself. Maybe an ABF collaboration project.

  • Have you heard the Al Di Meola Beatles tribute album from a few years ago… this is his take on Michelle.

Yes, that's good! But, listen to Allan Holdsworth's version. The solo on this is otherworldly - must practice more!

  • Thanks for this, didn’t know it existed.
AH was a one off, a unique view of what the guitar could do. I love his work with Jean-luc Ponty.
I also like Ralph Towner and John Abercrombie so with check out the rest of the LP.

  • Dang, that's gorgeous. I would never have guessed that wasn't a "real Twin" if you hadn't mentioned the model in your post. The playing is superb.

  • Thanks for the kind words and listen @lukesleepwalker, much appreciated.
