Using a synth /keyboard to control the iPad
so my Yamaha MX 49 will arrive today and I was wondering if it’s possible to control a DAW and/or software synths on the iPad with it by controlling I mean very simple things like change preset play/stop/record and influencing the sound via the four knobs on the hardware synth
What DAW do I need or would it be possible with every Daw?
Which app lets you do this kind of thing easily without having to do a lot of menu digging

I looked up this controller / synth and it says:
In addition to Cubase AI, the MX BK/BU series is compatible with Cubasis LE, a DAW app for iOS.
So if transport control and preset browsing works with Cubasis LE, then will also work with Cubasis.
Specifically probably through 'Midi learn' or the the 'Mackie / HUI' toggle:
GarageBand iOS isn't so controllable.
I did try ages ago with a different controller, but at least it proves GB iOS responds to some messages:

You can also use Mosaic or Streambyter in AUM to send Midi CCs, and while I don't use Drambo, it would be remiss of me not to mention that anything and everything is possible using it.
It should be possible to one degree or another with virtually every DAW, though the particulars of the setup will vary from app to app.
Thanks then I will try Cubasis first also woould be interesting if it worked with loopy pro
Definitely won’t be a problem with Loopy Pro.
