  • Great, thanks for this, look forward to seeing the others too!

  • @sfm: What’s your favorite iOS sequencer,Leo? I’m guessing “Prism”

    It all depends on what I am trying to do… for simple beats I use Prism or even Cem’s buds apps. I am not sure about Logic Pro, in some ways better than Cubasis but horrible still midi support… Loopy pro midi implementation is looking strong… also looking forward to Drambo updates…

    They are completely ignoring me… 🤷‍♂️ and I buy so many of the products and review mainly apps for iPad… 🤷‍♂️

    @sfm : That’s odd and disconcerting to hear : I would have thought they’d be in touch with you constantly for feedback and suggestions. Both their and our loss , I suppose

  • I can't figure out how to play the granular looper when I have recorded something in from another AUv3 instrument.
    In Tutorial 1 @sfm Leo, you demonstrate how to use the Stacks sequencer to trigger Piantoteq notes. That makes perfect sense.

    In the next tutorial, you show how to record sounds from the INTERNAL synth into the looper section.

    What I am trying to do is combine these 2 methods.

    I am using Stringlab rather than Pianoteq, and I have recorded a segment of audio. But then when I press play next to the sample (i.e looper one), nothing happens.

    Any sign of a manual yet @congburn ?

    Unfortunately AUv3 instruments can't receive audio so I'm working out how to bundle an additional AUv3 FX for a future release - this will let you use the audio in inside of AUM

    There's a quick start guide -> https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DOA-PR10sD3bRDNn2f8UzG9N6AATC2-l/view?usp=sharing

    But the full manual is some way off

    Will show the combination on the next video…

    Oh, thanks Leo. But in John's reply above, it sounds like it's not possible (?). Now I'm even more confused....

  • @Kashi @congburn I think that maybe Stacks would have to be adjusted so that it can also sit in the effects slot, that would probably work.
    For example, you can have Koala run as an AUv3 instrument, but to record into it you have to put it in the effects slot so that audio can pass through it.
    Same thing with SampleWiz 2 and other similar apps.

    You can take audioin in the standalone app, but not yet as an AUv3 as Stacks for example doesn’t run yet as an inserts effects or an audio effect/processor in AUM; hopefully that will come soon from John. In terms of showing an example of combination of what I covered in Tutorial 1 and Tutorial 2 I will demo that in the next tutorial :)
