JamUp Pro XT feedback problem
I am using JamUp Pro XT guitar processor with an Apogee JAM input. It sounds great in the headphones, but when I connect the audio out port on the iPad to my guitar amplifier, the feedback is huge. It makes it unusable.
I don't have this problem when I use Garage Band or any of the other stand-alone iPad guitar processors with the same set-up (Apogee Jam to iPad to guitar amp).
Does anyone know how to get the JamUp sound out of the iPad and into a guitar amp without all the feedback?

Make sure you are using it on a clean channel of the amp. I would turn the iPad volume down at least 4 "clicks". Set your actual amp's EQ all to 12 o'clock and make sure your amp volume is down all the way. Then slowly raise the volume of the amp. It's also a good idea to enable the noise gate in JamUp. Crank it all the way up and then back down until you find a setting that suits you.
Thanks, Derek. that is helpful.
I also discovered that removing the Apogee JAM connection from the iPad and then reconnecting it after JamUp is running seems to help, although I cannot imagine why. Maybe it interrupts the feedback loop ???? It seems to run OK after that as long as I follow the settings as you noted.
