Adding AUV3 effects

Is it possible to an AUV3 effect to an individual loop?
Typically I record multiple vocal loops into the same loop color. I would like to vary the effect on different loops occasionally.
I know we can add effects to a channel but then all loops that color will be effected.
Thanks in advance for any answers.

Individual loops within a color group can’t have different effects. You could either use different colors or apply effects to the input when recording the loops.

  • What I do is burn in effects by bouncing the clips. edspiegel123 explained how to do it a while back.
You can assign a colour output to another colour and play one coloured clip while recording that into another coloured clip.
For example: if your clip is blue, set the blue channel output to magenta and play your blue clip (with AUv3 effects added) while recording a new magenta clip at the same time.
Works really well. I usually double the bar count in the new clip just in case my start time is off (you can always trim that clip later on).
