You’re not from around here, are you son? : Non-Local

According to Wikipedia, in theoretical physics, quantum nonlocality refers to the phenomenon by which the measurement statistics of a multipartite quantum system do not allow an interpretation with local realism.

I hope that is clear.

The latest batch of students who have just moved into the rental next door to me ahead of the new term are all theoretical physicists, apparently. This may or may not have influenced this track’s inspiration. But I would have to open the box to check, and then, well, you know, collapsing wave functions are so messy…

This one is dedicated to @GeoTony for his excellent suggestion of NaadSadhana, a clip from which, twisted beyond all reason, provides the backbone of this piece, augmented with manual interjections from the excellent Sonicware Ambient 0 synth/noise machine, a bit of Loopy Pro (I’m trying with it, I really am!) and some epiphanic reverbing.

Enjoy! :) And as ever, any morsels of feedback eagerly scooped up from the Audiobus’s floor and consumed without a second thought for health and safety.

  • sonic universe of darkness, glimpse of light, chaos in gentle waves, expanding then collapsing again. Nice track!

  • Cinematic AF I enjoyed this episode

  • Really gave me a Bladerunner vibe, which as far as soundtracks go is about as high as praise can go.

  • I came expecting references to Royston Vasey but am not disappointed with what I found 😊
An epic piece of music but I suspect far from what the creator of NaadSadhana was expecting his app to be used for !
