  • Some lovely piano on this one

  • Lovely improvisation, the piano is outstanding.

  • That cover illustration attracted me to listen to this piece. I like the tempo, mood, and atmosphere. It was a joy to listen. Thank you for sharing.

  • Thank you for listening @myapologies @richardyot @Luxthor. I had my doubts about this one. Pretty certain about the next, however.

  • Love those chords! I’m trying to choose between the Swam trumpet and flugelhorn. Any preferences?

  • @MrStochastic that’s a tough one. I guess I’d pick the flug if I could only have one, but I find the trumpet and flugelhorn very useful together and the Miles setting on trumpet is very good, too.

For what it's worth, I have all the Swam trumpets and flugels and my hands-down favourite is the piccolo trumpet - very rich tone and free-blowing playing feel with a wind controller.

I'm guessing they have similar expressive controls; but flugels have to me a 'warmer' sound.

I wish I had a wind controller; I'm just using my fairly expressive Nektar keyboard. I like the sound of piccolo trumpets but it seems like everything would sound like those Brit tv shows. ;)

  • As a former drummer it might be odd but I really like that this doesn't have drums. Without a rigid timekeeper pushing things you're able to let notes linger, getting the most out of ever one.

  • Thx @MadeofWax sometimes no restraints are the best boundaries.

  • The solo piano sections are lovely and then the brass adds another dimension… lovely!
My vote would be for flugel but all the SWAM stuff is good.
