Any Blip Box Presets to share?
I’ve used the app a few times, watched a bunch of videos on YouTube but I’m just not happy with any of my results. Based on the great feedback on this site it seems like users are getting useable sounds from the app.
Maybe it’s just that I’m terrible at sound design and drum patches or I had the wrong idea about the app. I mainly try to make hard hitting and sharp DnB style drums so they are pretty straight forward to make on other synths etc.
Would anyone like to share their patches so I can dissect and get to the bottom of this problem?
Much appreciated

Do you use a drum sequencer (OCTACHRON) or are you just fingering it like a boss?
The presets are all decent for DnB.
I’m sure you’ve mastered the “long press pad to lift settings, tap new pad and drop” to copy a drum template.
I usually divide my pads in the following: top row = BD variants next row = SN variants, followed by hat variants.
Breaking your drum surface out like that and utilizing the lift and drop method, you’ll find yourself making small tweaks for big changes. A drum sequencer can help push along that DnB feel also.
However, a great solution might be: Fractal Bits, relic flow, relic wave- fractal bits specifically.
I enjoy blipbox, and it’s pretty fun to make kits. I can help u with drum sequencing if y like. I got a dope vidya from redmeansrecording that has some great drum info. Far more than I am willing or able to type.
Or heck, I got way more midi drums than I could ever use. You could load them up in whatever sequencer u like and let blip box fart out its best efforts. I can send u a link, but I am unable to DM people first apparently.
Some great information here. I just bought OCTACHRON a few weeks ago when it was on sale but haven’t had a chance to try it out yet.
Usually for drums I do almost all the sequences in piano roll. I’m pretty sure it’s not the best way to write drum tracks but it works for the time being.
Good suggestion about the variants of the drums. Often I would just pitch adjust a sound if possible in the piano roll.
With blip box none of my attempts even sound close to being ready for a track. I’ve been creating drum sounds with synths in Drambo and get really good results. I was hoping that Blip Box would be everything I need in one app.
I guess like all things it’s just more practice.
I’ll check out Fractal Bits.
