Think you need to say goodbye to all this gear in true SoundTestRoom style: put it all out on the kitchen table, get it all plugged in and make a video of your jamming with them all at once. Plus, nice ad.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I've had my eye on that NU-X PG2 since I bumped into your video on it. Crazy how much you get in that little box for so little cash. Cost to get it to me would make it not worth it but someone closer should scoop that up!
Yeah!
I did something similar awhile back, just not enough time in the day :-)
The Minilab seems interesting, would it work well with an iPad 2? My Alesis Q49 seems to work great, but this looks like it could draw more power?
Minilab has got firmware issues with knob turning half as fast. I had it and let it go. I liked the idea of pick up knobs unfortunately never got them to work properly even with updated firmware.
Doug as you know I was interested in the minilab but now I'm more towards the novation launchkey 25 what's your opinions on the launchkey
I've never used the Launchkey, I only have the Launchpad Mini, personally the minilab has been great for me, I have a couple of videos using it with all the midi working with Alchemy, anyway as far as I know the Launchkey is good too
I want the 25 as opposed to the mini mainly for the pitch and mod wheels
I have the launchkey 25 and I love it. I use it with my iPad 3 and it powers great and I can use it with any synth. The only thing I wish it had were midi connectors, one can only connect it by usb.
The launchkey mini is a decent board (within the limitation of the small keyboard). The keyboard feel is very similar to minilab. 2 concerning issues I had were that it would not power off the ipad unless connected via the genuine CCK (akai mpk mini mk1 wasn't that fussy) and the usb lead is proprietary. It might be the mini usb currently used by some android phones but I don't remember exactly so don't quote me on that. The good thing is that novation customer service in the UK is very good, they once sent me a replacement key and a knob for an ancient k-station for free. I let it go because at the time I was still refusing to buy the original CCK.
Sorry Doug I'm not making it I easy for ya. I presume if you haven't encountered the issues with minilab knobs then the keyboard could be considered 'tried and tested' with ipad.
I think the best thing I could do is make another video with the Minilab, but this time I'll try it with Sunrizer which is great for midi learn, I know it worked with the iTrack Dock too, which is nothing short of miraculous. @supadom ha, it no worries, people should be aware of any potential problems, but for me its been good, never had any problems with it, you can see it works well in the videos I have made with it
The electribe and launchpad will be good for me but im so far way![:( :(](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/frowning.png)
Just updated the list, the Monotribe and Vol Bass and Vol Keys are gone, actually surprised no one has bought the iRig HD yet
Volca beats would make a great first drum machine for me
Hi Doug,
Does the iRig HD still work on an iPad2? I'd be interested but read a few reports of incompatibility issues.
Thanks
I haven't heard of any compatibility issues with the iRig HD and it comes with the three connectors you need, Lightning, 30 Pin and USB. The only compat issues where people trying to use it with a PC. But its USB is only designed to be used with a Mac
Thanks for the reply Doug -
Regarding the connections - does that mean I could use it with a newer iPad as well as the iPad2? Didn't realise they were that flexible, thought I'd need to upgrade when I updated my iPad. Sounds tempting, I'll have a think!
I would def buy that EMX but I'm in the US :-

OK
The Electribe has now been sold
Bump :-)
I could never part with my Novation Mininova given how deep and incredibly good it sounds. Are you switching to all Ipad for some reason or planning on an upgrade or just need some cash. Not to mention every time I take it to one of my friends to play they can not keep their hands off it and it never fails to bring smiles to their faces when they start messing with it.
My reasons for selling are in the opening thread, but it s space and justifying and I soend all my time on the channel and the website
Ya I can see what you mean about no time with all of the other irons in the fire over there. Best of luck and who ever gets the Mininova is going to have a ton of fun I predict.
