Difficulty Pressing Generate on Piano Motifs?
Does anyone else find the Generate button unresponsive sometimes on Piano Motifs? Sometime I have to hit it a lot of times before it responds. This is on iPhone. Fabulous app otherwise!

I’ve never experienced this.
Has it been happening for awhile? Since you purchased the app? Or is it a newer issue?
It could be the resizing of the AU window and the device you are on.
I do tend to use it more on my iPad than my iPhone, but haven’t had a problem with that on either device.
it could be the specific host/Daw you are using, so maybe try to replicate it in another host just to check and see if that’s the issue.
Could also be the version of iOS you are on.
Make sure it’s loaded as a midi fx, if you are indeed sending the midi out to other apps.
Thanks for these suggestions. I tried it in standalone, and in Cubasis and it works fine in both of those. It only seems to be in AUM it happens, which is where I mainly use it. Maybe I should switch to Cubasis.
Hi @looperboy,
The reason is probably that due to the screen size presented by AUM (which starts in portrait mode on an iPhone) the button area is small, so precision is lost. A suggestion is to rotate your device to landscape mode and tap the window tab twice. This will make the Piano Motifs window full screen (almost as big as in standalone mode). Hopefully this isn't too much of a hassle.
Thanks. That didn’t really make a difference. In fact, although I use the app landscape and full size in AUM the problem actually isn’t any worse in portrait mode, tiny. What I’ve found helps sometimes is hitting the rewind button first on AUM. Sometime it works immediately after that, sometimes not. I’m not entirely sure it’s a size issue. Sometimes it works first try, and isn’t a problem, even in portrait mode. And none of the other much smaller buttons are ever a problem, like changing the octaves, or setting the scale etc. They always work fine.
Hi @looperboy, if it's alright with you, I’ll DM you with some questions about the issue you're experiencing so we can better narrow down what the problem could be.
Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but in the AU version of PM I can never use the melody passing notes option. Cant turn it on or adjust slider in aum. This setting is only available in the AU version.
I’m guessing another setting needs to be changed first, but tried several things so I wanted to quickly ask what I’m doing wrong? Or if anyone else runs into this problem? Cheers
PM had yet another update too. I feel like there’s one a week adding something new every time.
Hi @Poppadocrock,
The Melody Grace Notes option (which is the one I think you're referring to) will be disabled if any of the Swing Rhythm, Melody Triplets or Melody 16th Notes are turned On. Unfortunately due to the way things are coded it can't be enabled when those options are On. If this doesn't solve the problem you're having, please let me know.
