Update to Korg Module Pro (version 4.7.0)
Here's the list of changes:
- Added a new expansion sound pack, "Space Western" (based on Space Odyssey for the Korg Wavestate)
- Added "SST (Smooth Sound Transition)" to Module Performance Expansion
- Added support for “MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange”, and now has full compatibility with the Keystage
- Fixed a bug that caused setlists to not be saved
- Fixed a problem that caused the app to crash while using Hybrid with AUv3
- Various other tweaks have been made to improve stability
The support for MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange is very interesting. Do any other iPad apps support this? If it becomes more widespread, it would be a very good reason to purchase the Korg Keystage MIDI keyboard controller.
Comments
I wouldn't hold my breath for widespread MIDI 2.0 support in iOS apps. Look how long it's taken to get MPE in only a relatively few synths.
Heh… this is the first time I see midi 2 support in a sw or hw… been reading about it for at least 7 years, probably more
I would have been a lot more excited if Korg would have announced more AUv3 ports….
Oh well.

I would be more interested in Roland too if they pushed out some AUv3’s
Jokes aside, the smooth sound transition was a really nice addition, change to another sound while holding down the sustain pedal with zero interruptions.
KORG still hasn’t properly fixed AUv3 automation in the Gadget AUv3’s (Just sent them a reminder as the case is still open).
It’s sale time as well so who knows, maybe we’ll get some AUv3 updates for the other apps as well?
If you want to hear the pack in action before buying, here is my demo.
That would be awesome.
And hopefully Korg has a long term plan for AUv3 rollout… who knows?

I bought a couple of the larger and orcehstral packs, but I can't justify spending the cash on a 30-pack preset of synthy presets. I got too many synths as it is to learn and program lol
I agree. I think there may be some people who only use Korg Module Pro, so they might like it.
Thank You. Kit sounds great.
Key stage would be awesome to have with this..
Guess, I have to update in order to demo the new kit. Wanted to avoid the additional gig+
Tru. korg often seems to update in spurts though so may be more over the next lil while.
I doubt the upgrade actually takes an additional gig+ once installed. Unfortunately I already updated, so I can't say for sure. Maybe someone will be good enough to check storage before and after updating.
14.22 before, 14.23 after…I know, seems weird. thats the update on module p
14.3 with new bank
Is this coming to the regular module I wonder? The Up North pack did - did that appear in Pro too? Can’t remember why I went with the regular version - maybe the consensus on here was that is was pretty much the same thing if you bought the Essentials pack?
Thanks @Littlewoodg. 👍🏼
