Can use the iPad camera with apps that convert that to midi for similar results. Musikraken, for example. A seaboard itself can surely also do this? I don't see what functionality this would add that's not there in the '5D' options it has. Looks cool on a stage though, for sure, so that would perhaps make it worthwhile for some.
Wow! I had no idea Musikraken could do all of that! Thank you!

🫡🔥Excellent!
Not new remember this.
Kickstarter. Doesn't ship til next year - March. Knowing Roli, I have Lumi, they'll miss that. Looks cool, but burned by Lumi experience and quality issues/bugs.
The roli guys trying to reinvent theramin?
Same here. Roli has great ideas, but terrible management and execution. I do love the sound of their synths however (Equator 2 especially).
Reminds me of Jean-Michel Jared’s “Lazer Harp” that he used to play on stage. I can’t see this being a big seller.
I can't see this being a big seller at all frankly. And I agree with other people here - Roli had great potential, but many existing customers like myself got burned hard by their sloppiness - in firmware, hardware and software. Doubt I'd buy anything from them again.
Nothing wrong with trying something new.
So with this on my desk I can’t see my computer monitor! 😀
iPad ✅👍

That was one heck of a hyperbolic hype campaign for a Kickstarter project from a seemingly established company. They were sending emails everyday about how they were about to change music history forever.
I think there is an old product design very similar to this I could swear I've seen before. They may have just bought the rights/patent and started producing them for some quick $$$.
This was 100% my first thought. I'd have to rearrange my entire studio to get this placed somewhere it wouldn't block a computer screen or another vital piece of kit...
Too bad rolling noise is so poorly supported… I have no reason to buy this.
Looks cool…

There's a thread about this already Mike!
It’s $299 if they ever make it. I gave away a NovaRing here. Sort of similar. I’m happy with my mod wheel and pedal. Old school.
Did anyone understand if the Airwave actually does anything with the per-note information? According to the videos I watched, it seems like the device knows above which keys the hand is hovering (at least the "Piano M" (formerly called LUMI) shows some fancy light effects if the hand is moved above the keys). But I haven't found any info if that is just for show, or if you can use it to control MIDI parameters...
I once made a change in MusiKraken to display the tracked hand information above the keyboard (I called it the ghost hands), but I didn't find a good use case for it, so I never released it. Just wondering, out of curiosity, if Roli has discovered a good way to use this information...
