Which audio recorder/timeline AUv3 to record in AUM?
Aka how to add audio tracks to AUM
I would like something with recording and basic editing (fades etc) , preferably with multiple lanes and able to import/export from files and AudioShare.
Ease of use and easy file sharing most importantly..
Suggestions welcome! Cheers.

The only app I know that might come close to what you want is 4Pockets.com’s Multi Track Recorder. I don’t think it does fades but I don’t own it. Some folks are big fans of Paul The Musician’s apps, others don’t care for them

Individual clips can be faded.
Thanks, I will check it out.
I probably won’t use half of the features … I just need to record the output of an AUM channel now and then.
These recordings won’t stay in the app long though so I hope the filesharing is easy.
Anyone users care to comment?
Is there any other alternatives that might be more streamlined?
Cheers again. : )
If you insert it as an Audio Effect you can capture the output of an AUv3 instrument plugin in situ. That’s pretty streamlined.
If your goal is to export captured loops elsewhere I think I remember that’s straightforward as well.
Based on what you just said, why not just use AUM's built-in recording ability? The editing part?
If that's the case, I'd probably recommend Neon. Just throw it in as an FX on any channel you want to record / edit.
Cheers @wim
I wanted something a bit more immediate than the (admittedly pretty efficient) AUM recording and exporting procedure.
Also just being able to listen back to a recording easily and perhaps edit a bit would be good.
Neon provides more food for thought though… Better editing, MIDI triggering possibilities , system clipboard access , auto-start via trigger and potentially easier sharing with AudioShare mentioned.
I could make an argument for either… I might get both eventually
Koala Sampler. Record the audio to it, then trigger the pads using MIDI.
I tried with 4Pockets Multitrack, Neon, AUM recorder...... almost everything.
I find Koala to be the easiest to manipulate audio and play fast, then export to Loopy Pro, then Sequencer Mode. If I want longer takes or something like that, I can record directly in Loopy Pro donut, then apply it where I want in Loopy Pro Seq.
Still..... If there's something in AUM to record, then play. Neon would be the most "accurate" and easy to use. I don't like the edit feeling of the recording, but it's just for me.
Thanks all!
I already use koala for shorter/one shot samples and it’s great..
I think MTR looks better in terms of timeline synchronised recording and having the visual representation of the different channels.
I’m ashamed to say that I don’t yet have Loopy Pro but that looks like it might work well for this duty. Particularly the timeline view.
Cheers again.
@iamspoon
I use Loopy Pro hosted inside dRambo for recording audio
which would be the same as using AUM in this instance.
I can record ideas down quickly using Loopy Pro
especially as a playing musician and recording Artist.
For instance I recorded this last night.
