Is there an app that can detect/suggest scales based on the notes and chords sequences you play?

I use ChordPolyPad alongside Thumbjam, and I often struggle finding the scale in which my ChordPolyPad chords are, so that I can set the right scale in Thumbjam. Cheers ;)

  • Bang your chords singlely or en mass through Tonality: Music Theory https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tonality-music-theory/id1467552236

It has a chord AND scale ID feature in addition to everything else it does.

Midi in and out are available

  • Tonality has several AUs inside and one is a chord/scale detector which does exactly what you describe.

  • Thanks everyone :))

  • I love Suggester 2 for this. Clean interface and easy to use on phone or iPad. Just start off by using the chord detector, play and add the chords you want, then it offers to detect the scale for you after.
