Drambo Quantise Automation

Hi folks

I’m trying to automate a the pitch parameter on a AUV3 effect in drambo but when I do it the change happens it sounds bad because the changes are in between the pitch I want changes to be looked to whole numbers in the automation if possible. Is this possible or is there a modulation device that can use whole numbers only to replicate this
Effect?

Thanks

Lea

  • Could you be a little more specific please?
    Which AUv3?
What are you trying to achieve?

  • Hi there

It’s the pitch parameter in Silo when I run audio in Drambo with Silo as the effect I put a whole number in the pitch by double clicking on the value in silo and typing in the value a whole number like 5. I would like to change the value over time by automatiing the pitch to create a melody with the changing pitch. For this only whole numbers are any good because every thing else sounds off key if that makes sense.

    Thanks again

That sounds like a scaling issue. There is no standard that defines how much of a value change in automation will cause a certain pitch shift amount.
I don't have Silo but try adding a CV Quantizer and Scale+Offset module to fine tune the pitch control.
You can start with only the "C" note enabled in CV quantizer and adjust the knob values until turning the automation knob actually jumps between octaves in Silo's pitch.

  • Thanks for this I will give this a try
