Tunnel Vision (Some solo guitar)
A Reason Studios project that I took the stems from, and imported them into Logic Pro for iPad (the drums are Klevgrand OneShot). I mixed them and added more sound stuff in Logic.
Guitar is my budget ESP EG-50 direct in through a Scarlett interface // to the fantastic Nembrini EN Hardball (Brusfri first of course). Some delay and reverbs added. I happened to overlap different takes of the solo/s so sometimes (rarely) you'll here two guitar recordings simultaneously.
I'm not ashamed of my guitar-playing but not very proud either, it is what it is

Nice instrumental and equally nice visuals.
Thanks for sharing.
"I'm not ashamed of my guitar-playing but not very proud either, it is what it is "
Speaking as one guitarist to another.
Playing the right notes for the instrumental/song
is more important than anything else.
I had a "budget" Antoria Rockstar, that I bought 2nd hand for £50,
for about twenty years before it got stolen by some "insert expletive here".
The jazz guitarist for my jazz band at the time I bought it
wanted to buy it from me for about £300
so as far as I was concerned it was a bargain.
I had no complaints about the sound of it throughout all of the
performances and recording sessions that I did with it over years.
I now have an Epiphone Wildkat and for "guitarists"
it's still a budget guitar so play what you feel and enjoy.
Once again thanks for sharing.
Cool! I like it!
As another guitarist, I’ll agree with @Gravitas in that the guitar doesn’t matter, it’s what you play.
From what I can hear, your playing sounds great! (I am admittedly trying to listen through iPhone speakers at work, and honestly the guitar sounds kind of buried in the mix. I’ll give another listen with headphones later when I get home)
Left you a like and a comment on YT as well 🙂
This is different from your usual ambient stuff, and I like it a lot. You can feel the spaciousness and positive energy. The guitar is entering slowly from the distance, waiting to culminate. Don't be shy, let the guitar shine!
Thank you for listening, I didn't mean it to sound like I blamed the guitar by mentioning budget. On the contrary, it's a fantastic guitar that I bought used for approximately 4 years ago and it costed me circa $150. I have never looked up what they go for new.
Thanks for that Ed, really appreciate you! About the guitar levels, he he, the mastering unit in Logic Pro (iPad) actually lowered my "suggested" levels and I thought to myself: Okey, point taken! 🤣🤣
Right!? I don't know what happened and I almost posted it in SOTMC 😆 I'm an raw and dirty guitar player who never learned a cover song OR played with others. I guess one can find both pros and cons in that but I have come to realise my lazy ass really didn't do me any favours by skipping all those parts🙃 So, I just like to sit and play it, do my thing, and that seldom results in usable stuff.
This sounds really good even just on iPad speakers. I agree with @Luxthor. For me, it is evocative of changing seasons. Nice track
Hey man this is great. I’m used to your other stuff so this is such a cool new thing from you @Pxlhg ; keep it up my friend
You got it for $150 damn, I'm living in the wrong country for such deals, by the way I'm based in the U.K.
Keep your creations coming.
It's sounding good.
Nice track.
You should not worry about your playing,as soon as the track is pleasing😉.
Thanks for sharing @Pxlhg.
Flo
Everything ultimately comes down to two stereo tracks, left and right, regardless of how much you paid for your axe, or the DAW you used. This sounds great. Big and majestic. I like it a lot. Makes me feel like driving fast in my old red Corvette with the top down and my arm out the window. Well done.
@myapologies , @yellow_eyez said , @flo , @Paulieworld
Thank you all for listening and for your kind words, really inspiring! 😌😀
Yeah, well I'm in Sweden so shouldn't be to much of a difference (London and Stockholm being exceptions of course), maybe I got lucky but it was in a store so, I don't know. I've had a few Gibsons, Hamers, Washburns etc through the years and they were okay, but this one is, kind of special.
Thanks again! 😀
I'm in London.
You can figure out the rest.
When a guitar is special then that's all we need to know.
I feel the same way about my Wildkat.
A pleasure.
Enjoyed the track a lot but disappointed the guitar work was so quiet ☹️
Thank you so much Tony! Yeah maybe the guitar got a bit low, I find it very hard to mix in general but guitar is especially difficult.
