Your best workflow (and drum sequencer) for my purpose ?
Hi so I use a minimal setup as for me the iPad is a sample chopping beat making sketch pad that I then send to Ableton when an idea is there.
I basically use AUM and Koala plus a ton of auv3 effects. I don’t need a daw I think since I don’t want to make arrangements, just have a few patterns going and polish the sounds by using auv3 effects and re sampling koala into itself pad by pad.
I found this video that shows how to send to a multi output channel of koala and sampling that with effects to the first koala channel but I find it a bit slow and limited, like if sometimes I just want to resample all the pads without having to send them to another channel and screwing up my internal choke groups and side chains ?
What is the most efficient workflow to really freely affect koala and resample it in every way ? If you have a template or another program idea I’m a taker.
Also I don’t dig the koala sequencer, what is the most flexible drum sequencer out there ? (I’d need at least good nudge settings, flexible grid, good swing control, maybe randomization and trigger conditions like velocity and misc) any go-to ? There are so many!! Bonus point if I can map it to koala’s pads
Edit : actually would it be easier in a daw like Cubasis or others ?
Thankss
