One Shots Unintentionally Trimmed
I’ve got a complex Loopy Pro project where my one shots are being unintentionally/automatically trimmed and I can’t figure out why this is happening.
The one shots are uploaded to the project before I start looping and I only use them occasionally (like once a month) as effects. The one shots are all in a single color group. However, when I go to play the one shots they have all been trimmed and therefore they do not play all the way through. When I drag up on a one shot to inspect it, I can see the whole waveform but the playhead has moved. Moreover, sometimes loopy won’t even let me slide the playhead back to its original position.
I’m guessing this is related to loopy trying to snap the playheads to some beat related intervals but I can’t figure out how to turn that off.

Please post a demonstration and screenshots of your settings. I am unaware of any auto trimming.
Here’s screen shots of clip, color, and global settings.
@GreedySpark : Can you post a demonstration that shows the trimming that you are referring to?
You can see in this video the play head has moved to the left and I’m unable to drag it to the end of the waveform. The second half of the waveform just disappears when I try.
Can you explain what you are doing in the video?
I am not sure what you mean by playhead.
What I see is what looks like the clip’s endpoint being dragged to an earlier point and a drawing error where the waveform isn’t drawn correctly.
Are you not dragging the endpoint to change it?
Yes sorry that it’s not clear.
When I import the clip, the clip’s endpoint is of course at the end of the waveform (not shown in video). After I use the project for a few days, the endpoint of the clip has moved to the middle of the waveform, without me doing anything to move it (in the video you can see that when I open the clip details, the endpoint is in the middle of the waveform instead of the end of the waveform). When I try to fix this by dragging the endpoint to the end of the waveform, I cannot do so. There is a drawing error and the endpoint defaults back to the middle of the waveform.
So there are two issues:
1) endpoint of the clip moves to the middle of the waveform while I’m using the project (I can’t replicate this for a video because I don’t know when it happens)
2) once this occurs, I cannot slide the endpoint back to the end of the waveform
Interesting, this rings a bell! I have a feeling (although it was a while ago) that this might be something I've fixed in the upcoming 2.0 beta.
Are you able to reproduce the issue at will? If so, I'd love to hook you up with the beta and see if it's fixed. I'll PM you.
I only use these particular one shots every couple of weeks so I haven’t figured out how to reproduce the issue. I have a sneaking suspicion that it’s happening when I am changing the tempo using external midi clock. I’ll play around with that this weekend and if I can reproduce the issue I’ll let you know!
