Apps that export Ableton Live sets

I have been Googling to see if anyone has compiled a list of apps that can export to Ableton Live sets.

Oddly, Note can’t do it except through Ableton Cloud - it would be great if it could just export directly.

What apps can export as a Live set file?

I’ll maintain a list based on responses:

  • Ableton Note (via Ableton Cloud)
  • Koala Sampler
  • Korg Gadget
  • Ampify Groove Box
  • Blocs Wave
  • GR-16
  • Elastic Drums
  • Patterning 3
  • IKaossilator
  • Beathawk
  • TriqTraq
  • Auxy Studio
  • EG Pulse
  • Loopseque 8
  • Ninja Jamm

Comments

  • Koala sampler can

  • Korg Gadget
Novation/Ampify Groove Box and Blocs Wave
    GR-16

    And there's plenty more...

  • Are you on a PC? I export them to my Mac all the time via Airdrop...Im sure there are more but the ones I use the most that export to Ableton besides Note are Groovebox, Blocs Wave, and Gadget 3, the beautiful thing about Gadget is that a couple of months ago I bought the Gadget plugins....not the Gadget app just the plugins and when I export a Gadget project as an Ableton project to my Mac, it opens up in Ableton with all the Gadget plugins I used and the presets I used..its really a beautiful thing.

No I’m on a Mac, but was more interested in just finding out which apps have the capability to export in that format.

  • the old iteration of Auxy, not sure about the new version
    Elastic Drums
    Patterning 3 Maybe 2 also?
    iKaossilator (!)

  • Never tried, but I think beathawk does.

  • TriqTraq

I've been wondering if that would actually work, that's pretty dope!

  • Great thread. I've been wondering if there were any I was missing as well.

  • Ah cool. I didn’t find that when I searched earlier.
