In case you didn't see the announcement thread, I have some big news: Audiobus – the app – is going to a new home. Francesco and Andrea are developers and musicians who are keen to pursue Audiobus’ further potential, keep it updated and enhance the experience for users old and new – and unlike me, they have the resources to do so! They’re full of ideas and energy, and I am confident that Audiobus will be in good hands.
The Audiobus Forum, however, is staying right here with me. After some consultation with the community here about what to do, I've decided to rename it to the Loopy Pro Forum, at forum.loopypro.com.
It has a new name and new colours, but otherwise, it's the same place, and nothing else will change.
Cheers,
Michael
Online Mandelbrot Set Fractal Explorer - FREE!
Hey,
something completely different -- I've been digging around various old projects that I probably won't finish anyway, so I've decided to make this one available for free:
https://seven.systems/mandelbrot/
It's a beautiful online Mandelbrot Set exploration tool. Basically, you can fly around a huge mathematically-generated intricate picture, adjusting colors and appearance to your liking.
There's a set of gorgeous "place" presets in the "Star" menu in the toolbar that you can explore to get an idea of what you can find (see examples below).
You can even share interesting places you have found via the "Share" arrow in the toolbar as an URL (and I encourage you to do it here! 🙂)
You do need a beefy machine at higher 'Depth' settings.
It's all free.
Enjoy!

Awesome.
Thank you.

Very cool, thanks for sharing!
Pretty nice, I was very hard in to Frax for way too long. Frax is however the measure and so far I have not seen anything close to it, not on iOS, or elsewhere. After Frax came an almost equally long period of flame fractals using mainly Fractal Architect (iOS version). Now, I'm pretty fed up with fractals but still can't resist getting drawn in when they're on display.
No bother! Better than if it keeps collecting dust on my SSD...
😊
Yes I've used Frax as well. Great software. My first dabblings into fractals were actually in 1994 or 1995 with "FractInt" on MS-DOS! (I think it was called "Int" because it used fixed-point integer math, which was far faster than floating-point...)
