Good looking on this!! - Sounds dope. Love the design.

  • Yeah, it's fun. Thanks for pointing it out @ahallam.

  • Hi,

We are beta testing TV3 for iOS. Is anyone interested in participating? Send me a private message.

    Thank you!

i did laugh when the head explodes :)

will try my best to break it, but very early tests seem quite stable.

  • Yes just tried it in AUM seems stable no crashes.

  • Got the invite today. Haven't encountered any issues so far 😃

  • All fine here. I had to restart the ipad to get it to show up as an audiounit, and afterwards it works very well. Thanks!

  • @sinosoidal

    I also received an invite.
I shall be testing it over the next few days.

    Thank you.

  • @sinosoidal

    Why wait....
    I dived in.
I can't automatically map the parameters in dRambo however I can map them maunally.
The sound is wicked with a touch of reverb and it's already good to go.
The drive is lovely and sits really in a mix.

    Back soon.

Amazing feedback. We are getting some important feedback from other beta testers. Little things that need to be tweak. Thanks for your feedback!

  • Very much loving the sound from this. There are some memorable sequences included. Is the internal sequencer exposed? Feel like it must be but I somehow am overlooking it.

  • This is fun
But the text is so small on my iPhone 14 Plus
no crashes, and sounds great at what it does

Would there be any chance of having this as a built-in engine in BAM, as an alternative to Hofmann? It works fine as an AUi, but it would be simpler if it was a standard BAM engine.

  • @sinosoidal

    Thanks for the mapping fix.

  • What I would love the most is the possibility to transpose the internal sequencer by external midi note :)

Is TV3 not the same engine as Hofmann?

I didn't know that. I admit I've found it hard to get exactly the right acid sound in Hofmann, while it's right there in TV3. I'll try again.

Edit: Indeed, in replicating the settings the sound is basically the same. No generative functions, though. But I’m just being spoiled, in wanting the BAM design throughout, rather than loading the aui for generation duties.

  • The randomizer and pattern generator are both a lot of fun. 🤩

TV3 - Acid Synth is out on the App Store

    https://apps.apple.com/app/tv3-acid-synth/id6740451858

  • Bought. Really enjoyed this app, especially with the new Caelum Audio app that’s being tested.

Hope that they add external transpose to the internal patterns in the future.

  • Another fun addition to my collection of 303 apps! Sounds great!

Am I right in saying that you can't turn off TV3's play button when hosted as an AU?

I've recorded some midi notes from TV3 into Logic and now want to use this instead of TV3's sequencer. I hit stop on TV3's stop/play button and this seems to work but whenever I press stop then play on the host it overrides TV3 and starts it again.

Worse still when it's internal sequencer has stopped and the host is running, the midi notes I have recorded aren't triggering any audio on the app... Is there no midi in? I see that under midi in the menu it says 'no input devices' and Logic's keyboard isn't triggering any sound....

  • Not sure about the sequencer on this one. How do you transpose up and down octaves? Also, it sounds like the notes are all uniformly short when complexity is low. It doesn’t seem to have those long acid slides.

Have you tried turning the switch from “internal” to “external”? That got me a few times.

Gah! That'll be it!! Thank you so much 👍
