what’s your second fave hardware piece ?

Currently (recent few months) iťs M8-only (and Polyend Tracker Mini before that) but i have also Digitakt 2 and Digitone and also did lot of music with them in past.. also with lot of other gear. - check my YT channel ;)

But yeah, recently it’s fully just M8 game :-)

Regarding iPad, unfortunatelly didn’t touched it a lot for quite long time ..

  • No idea what I just spent 3+ minutes of my life watching but I enjoyed the upbeat music 👍

  • So that's what it looks like when you download The Matrix from Temu.

    Soundtrack is good though.

  • Very nice track! Automatic Head Shaking Mode on! 😊 Just a bit too short 🥴 Love the deep sub-bassline...

  • When I bought a Moog recently, my receipt said "Sales Tax 50£". I said to the store guy, shouldn't that read "£50"? He said "yeah it's just a synth tax error." Boom Boom.

PS I didn't buy a Moog the other day. It was just setup for the gag :)

Original version was for Demoparty https://syntaxparty.org/ for M8 track competition and it was even shorter - 2 min - which was actual maximum allowed limit for track length. Btw, I won second place :-)

People on social networks have short attention span anyway.. they usually listen first 1-3 minutes and then just quickly rewind 😂

Not just on social networks! The total number of people in my entire life that I've met that can actually listen to a full "proper" EDM production (i.e., around the 7 minutes mark) is 1 😂 patience and depth don't seem to be very widespread virtues...

And when I tell somebody that I usually listen track i like on the loop multiple times continuously, they look at me like i am something between Joker and dude from Shining

😄 yeah well, I don't intentionally LOOP a track like that, but I do often find myself thinking "oh man, that track is so good, let's listen again" accidentally 😉

I've actually stopped showing my music to "random people I meet". The odds of someone actually and genuinely able to connect with it are approximately 0.4823% (give or take)

This is a banger! Reminds me of the soundtrack from some old arcade games like SEGA Outrun etc.

I bid on an m8 last week and missed it, due to lack of funds
    It looks and sounds awesome
But I undecided about this or the Polyend mini
It sounds like you have both
From watching videos it seems the m8 can do more, but £400 for a second hand model 01, perhaps even £450 I wonder if I should get the polyend as more seem to come on sale
And who knows when the next batch of model 02 will be available
Do you think I will be disappointed with the polyend?
Do you think the m8 model 01 is really worth £450 ?
And I wear glasses for lots of things
Is the m8 model 01 gonna feel too small screen wise ?
    Also nice track you posted
I read that Polyend has a new beta with an easier way to add chords/notes using the top row of buttons, has this speed up your workflow
Any advice or extra tips on deciding which machine would be highly appreciated

I don’t think you will be disappointed in case you are into tracker workflow. They both are great devices, both with pros and cons … Regarding price this is very complicated topic, price is always subjective thing.. i wouldn’t say one is “better” or “worse” .. both are excellently made pieces of gear and if you are interested in tracker workflow you both of them are gear choice..

    TLDR; Go for it :-)

    Thanks for the reply
I recently brought an mpc one+
And love it to bits, only brought one app this year ( Hilda by bram today, awesome)
But feel like something small to noodle with on the sofa, my mpc has a power bank so damn portable, but not much fun on the sofa , have never used a tracker but up for the new experience, but in this price range I could get an sp404mk2 or a digitack mk1
You haven’t made the decision any easier
    But thank you for replying
