Wave Phenomena
For this one I used Piano Motifs to create 5 or 6 two part MIDI sequences. Then I mixed them up and matched them with several different synths including King of Digital, iM1, Nambu, Jubal Flute, Pure Piano and a few others. Also included some vocal and percussion samples from Blocs Wave. All assembled in Cubasis 2. I would use version 3 except I’m having some latency issues that I can’t seem to figure out. Has anybody come across this and found a solution? When I try to change the value, it ignores the new setting. I had high hopes for v3, but just a disappointment so far.
The title is from The Sirens Of Titan, by Kurt Vonnegut.
Any Vonnegut fans out there?

Very nice track - very atmospheric and industrialish with nice ambience too
The latency issues are coming from audio fx most likely in cb3
Are you using a lot? Seems PDC is needed as more iOS ports from desktop take DSP
But hopefully the next update is massive as Steinberg is makin it seem
It’s time, should be soon, I mean I think anyway based on their update timing
I am a Kurt Vonnegut fan, people always go for slaughter house 5, but for me it’s Cats Cradle(ice 9 was a project a began when I was like 13, lol, it went nowhere but I called my future band Ice 9 then haha)
I don’t think it’s effects. I’m getting nasty crackling on bare tracks. It doesn’t seem to show up when I render down to audio, but it’s just really annoying when I’m working on something. I’m sure they will get it sorted out eventually. In the meantime version 2 is working fine.
Cat’s Cradle is one of my favorites, too. I first read it in high school, and recently checked out the audiobook version. I listened to it during my daily commute. It’s a lot better than listening to the daily news. Here’s my version of Ice Nine from about a year ago…
Another amazing musical journey.
I haven't noticed any weirdness out of Cubasis 3, I'm pretty sure my latency is due to my Bluetooth headphones. I can't seem to keep a good pair of wired ones lately.
I'm also using an iPad mini 5 so I try to stay light on resources. Did you recently update your iPad?
Glad to hear it isn't affecting your output tracks. This is a good one.
I’ve noticed that iOS updates occasionally affect some apps. Version 3 worked fine for a few months, then the crackling started. All of my Session Band apps started having display problems. A few apps just stopped working altogether. I’m not complaining. I spent more on lunch than most of these.
Thanks for listening. All our best wishes to you and the family.
Strange one this, didn’t think I liked it to begin with but it really grew on me to the point I was disappointed when it finished 🤔
I agree. It’s pretty strange. I have been dabbling in this genre lately. Some turn out ok, others not so much. Sometimes I think I’m running out of ideas. I just posted something on SoundCloud that’s completely different , as Monty Python would say. It’s a Flamenco guitar/metal thing. It might be a bit much for the forum, so I haven’t posted it here. I would welcome your thoughts. Thanks for playing!
