Here’s a song I did on iOS, and is slowly evolving called, “In my Head…(your voice)” - FULL STORY

Bit of a different post. But I’ll give some backstory…

During the Pandemic, I experimented with a ton of apps. TONALY was one of the best musical apps I found to work well with my DAW of choice, “Garageband for iOS”. I even shared a video of my workflow here…

I eventually played around with some chord progressions, put it into Garageband, and challenged myself to make a song. At the time, it was called “Your voice is a miracle…in my head”. Here’s the unlisted version of the demo

Your Voice is a Miracle...in my head

Raw vocals, poorly processed, yet it’s a song I regularly go back to and listen.

So, the song had been floating in my head (heh, see what I did there), and I experimented with different styles.

Last Friday came, and as I was preparing for my gig later that day with a Tamil audience, I went to a coffee shop called “Tim Hortons”, named after a famous hockey player in Canada. There was a small group of Punjab students, we had a nice chat, and I brought out my guitar. We had a great time freestyling songs, and one of the songs I performed was “In my Head…(your voice)”.

This is a new take of the previous song. Entirely remixed using a guitar, it challenged me to share the song live, free from the confines of the iPad, and share it to the world.

So, here’s the short clip I posted on Instagram:

P.S: Cubasis 3, not Logic Pro, has become my favorite professional DAW on iOS. Yet, my most used DAW is still Garageband for iOS. Here’s a few videos showing exactly my progression of Cubasis, and combining it with TONALY

Is this considered marketing? Ehh…maybe? But I am a fan of great storytelling, more than marketing. I make ZERO DOLLARS out of YouTube. I only use it as a diary where I can share stories like this.
