AUM -backing up
Dear all,
With my iPad on the fritz once again, I need to once again dive in and backup any presets and saves I have (across all apps).
-do I use iCloud? not on your nelly. ($$$)
-so I'll be going under the hood (Files).
--with regards AUM, can anybody point where it keeps it's 'sessions' ?
(I've done a lot of wiring and routing over the years).
Saved output audio files I have backed up elsewhere (through to AudioShare), which I'll dive in and fish out too.
--i can see this is gonna take a while.. ⏳⌛
(basically I'm trying to do all this before the battery 🔋 dies)- iPad no longer charging.
Comments
I’ve just copied the AUM folder that’s in the Files App in the On My iPad section. I hope this is right as I’ve never needed it yet.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than myself will chime in!
Yep. On My iPad -> AUM. You can compress its content and upload, offload, etc. Also, the problem Moebius sync recently had with targeting “sandbox” folders has apparently been resolved, and I’m about to test syncthinging the folder to an inhouse server.
While AUM’s data may be backup-able by copying its folder (I am not sure if that is true, btw) and the AudioShare folder , many apps have data and preferences not accessible via the Files app.
I would recommend that anyone backup their data regularly to hardware if they don’t want to lose their data.
