I have been away from making music for the last 2 years, but I’m wanting to get back to it. Can you suggest some new apps that have come out within these last 2 years that I may of missed out on that are real game changers???

There have been some decent apps come out the last two years. Logic Pro was released to iPad only. Not sure how you feel about subscriptions, but a fiver per month isn't so bad. And if you never subbed before, you get the first month free. @richardyot would be able to help you more with that if you have questions.
Gadget has been updated to version 3, and its gadgets and IAPs have been released to AUv3 format! Also iM1 has been given the AUv3 treatment as well.
If you like grooveboxes, BAM was released earlier this year and is now iPhone compatible.
