A first go with Harmonicc: Crow

edited November 4 in Creations

“In the beginning was Scream / Who begat Blood… /…Who begat God / Who begat Nothing / Who begat Never / Never Never Never

Who begat Crow.” - Ted Hughes

Crows are genuinely my favourite bird. Their raucous cawing, on a lonely woodland walk, or wheeling about a winter-stricken sky, always fills me with an emotion I find hard to name. Their cunning, their dark reputation, the absolute Gothness of them gladdens me like little else.

My first go with @cem_olcay ‘s Harmonicc took me at random into something which sounded fairly Gothic to me, and as I listened to it do it’s thing with a Grand Piano from BS16, and a soupçon of my current favourite spice, the Thereminator, I realised what the piece needed.

More crows.

You can never have too many crows.

  • Love it, as I do all your corvidian creations. Shiny pebbles, found trinkets, and goosebumps!

  • I like the dark chord progression and eerie theremin. Almost forgot about the crows because I think they mesh so well with the other sounds

  • Great soundscape and very fitting for this poem. Thanks for sharing.
