Best noise reduction app

Hi all,

I'm looking for great automated noise reduction.

Anything better than Brusfri?
Doesn't need to be auv3.

Thanks!

  • I use the Adobe Podcast website nowadays. It's insanely good.

  • Brusfri is decent, but yeah I wind up having to use two of those to reduce noise completely. 😂

For live noise reduction or for post processing?

Post processing. Mostly i do a lot of on-the-fly field recording in my phone with Koala and then process it in various ways. Samples could be anything from vocal stuff to atmosphere or percussive. I'm looking for a good noise reduction tool to quickly isolate and reduce noise, on anything.

Brusfri is not bad, just wondering if I'm missing a hidden gem. I have so many great options in desktop that i use regularly doing post production sound for film. But ios? I'm clueless what's good and configurable.

Adobe Podcast. I explored the streets of Sweden with Jakob Haq earlier this year and we didn't use a microphone. It was just the raw audio from the phone.

Podcast cleaned up the audio, and thickened it. Here's the clip.

Never thought about doing a second pass. Great idea!

Looks good, but i don't always have internet when I'm out and about recording and building fully sampled tracks.

Hoping to hear about great apps that'll do the job. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Glad you think so mate. :) The second pass always gets rid of the noise completely while leaving the vocals intact without artifacts. I live in a noisy city (by choice lol), so when I record vocals into Cubasis, I always need two Brusfris to clean up the sonic mess.

I used to do two passes of noise reduction on film dialogue years ago before the noise reduction algorithms got way better. Totally forgot how it helps alleviate artifacts. Thanks again!
