Hello, I am an electronic musician. I have enjoyed binaural as well as the offshoots. Im not sure how well the mono offshoot is, as there are some confusing elements as binaural was always 2 ears with a slight offset (over simply). I have usually 'hidden' mine in tracks but am curious as to what your goals are. I wanted to make some really mental focused based 'song' and it sounded so dissonant I had to laugh. SO I am not your ideal candidate, but am interested and can babble about some. Oh, get BB17 app, the only binaural synth app I know off. One goal I have is to not hide the binaural, but also have the musical be more enlightening and peaceful but not interfering with the intended effect. Lastly, I am not sure if all people can feel these? Does anyone know if some people just don't jive with it bro find it unpleasant?
This is an example of my chilled electronics, but have many varietys. Some fun pano glitches 2. Hails!

I'm very interested in binaural beats and have been using them in one way or another for more than 20 years, starting with a mind machine with flickering glasses, then just the sound from diverse sources.
I despise their marketing (everybody else in the field is a quack, only we know how to work the magic because of our decades of experience and trust us, your dick will grow) and their partly sloppy work (There's a windows alert sound right in the middle of an otherwise very trancy part, that put me off a couple of times), but I like that iDoser have different styles of music with the binaural beats and not always just ambient (although some of it is probably copyrighted, I'm sure I've heard some BoC in there).
I wanted to make my own binaural beats for a long time, bought neuroprogrammer 3 for windows, but actually just used it with relatively random music and never really exported anything. I guess, I should reinstall it.
Relatively recently I did make something:
Not really a catalogue of stuff and I wouldn't call myself a seasoned BBcreator, but I like to talk about the stuff, too
I'm curious if isochronic tones are relevant to your interest as well. I prefer them to binaural beats as in theory they don't require headphones to work. I've tried them in headphones and think they're as effective for me as binaural beats. I haven't tried them without headphones.
I have used binaural beats in the past and switched to isochronic tones several years ago. @wim I also prefer them to binaural beats and they work without headphones for me. Been using this app for a while now, it's programmable so you can make your own - does monaural, binaural and isochronic, ramping frequencies and volumes, etc.
I usually use isochronic tones for power naps and focusing. I've never tried to make music incorporating them, but it sounds like a good idea and I would be interested in doing something.
Huh. I've been using Brainwave for years but didn't know it also does isochronic. I'll have to check that out.
I also made my own isochronic and binaural beat generators in Drambo.
Curious to hear what you done in drambo @wim. I have no idea what isochronic is, gotta check that.
My experiments with binaural with drambo didn’t produce much interesting results so I dropped that.
Binaural as a whole is interesting but I don’t think it has many musical usage, I mean in the context of a mix it kinda loses the appeal. Certainly my fault not putting it to better use.
The binaural app scenario is a bit scarce on iOS to say the least, but I find it fascinating as a concept
Yes, BrainwaveZ does it all. It's the only one on iOS that's programmable that I know of - are there any others? Drambo scares me, too many things. Would also be curious to hear any isochronic music you've done.
Ahh ... I think I'm using a different app. Mine is just called Brainwave.
I haven't made any binaural beat or isochronic music. I only use them under either white noise or music. In Drambo I have a setup where I can mix in RadioUnit and/or white noise.
